Activity 7: Yes, I jumped over activity 6 for now.

I did a Google search for educational podcast and found a Site related to mathematics. The Site URL is Mathgrad.com
Description: The series of math related podcasts are delivered by a Colorado University Graduate student. The view may choose from a variety of topics; I chose podcast #5: probability. Listening to the podcast was easy as well as informative.
Probability is the topic and real life situations are used to add meaning to what is being taught. For example, Olympic skating was used to illistrate ranking; which Mathgrad states is without real numerical meaning as various judges give a varity of ranking for the same activity.
Also, Mathgrad stated that some people use probability in their daily lives to asist in their critical decision making. However, some people do not have a realistic grasp of probability and will misuse the information. The example given was a woman that took out a $30,000 loan against her house to purchase lottery tickets. She did not realize that her probability was only one in 600.
Review: The Mathgrad opens all of his podcasts with an intoduction of himself and gives the answers to the previous questions for prizes. MathGrad did a good job wih the audio as it is clear and without scratch, or overridding background noise.
The ability of Mathgrad to explain his topic was clear and precise. The explaination was easy to understand and applicable to real life. As many topics can be found at this Site, there should be a topic for everyone. Mathgrad updates the podcast frequently and offers interaction with his audience via email so that the question of the week may be answered to win a prize.

I hope to use both of the guy's as resources for math as they have been in the math field for awhile.I hope to persuade my District to allow access to Blogsites as right now those are blocked. If anyone has successfully changed their District's opinion on Blogs, please let me know what you did.
